Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This policy explains how World Jewry Yehudim Yidden Council Corporation (“we,” “us”) handles personal information when you contact us or use our SNAP application-assistance service in New York City. We are a small private business, not a government agency.
Who we are
We help clients prepare and submit SNAP (food stamps) applications and recertifications through ACCESS HRA. We are not affiliated with HRA, SNAP, USDA, or any government body. HRA decides eligibility and approval.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to do the work you asked for:
- Contact information — name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email, and borough or neighborhood.
- Case details you share — household size, whether this is a new application or a recertification, and notes about income or expenses that you choose to send so we can complete the forms.
- Documents needed for the application — copies or photos of identity, address, income, household, rent, and other proofs HRA typically requests. You send these to us, usually over WhatsApp.
- Payment records — that the $150 case-cycle fee was paid, and the date. We do not need your full bank or card number for our own files if you pay through a method that does not give it to us.
- Website basics — this site is static. We do not run advertising cookies or sell browsing data. If you host this site with a company such as Netlify or Cloudflare, that company may log standard server data (for example, IP address and pages requested) under their own policies.
We do not ask for your full Social Security number in marketing or on this website. If ACCESS HRA requires an SSN for the application, you enter it in HRA’s system or share only what is required for that submission. We prefer last-4 only in our own notes when that is enough.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Help you prepare and submit your SNAP application or recertification through ACCESS HRA
- Tell you which documents are still needed
- Help you schedule and prepare for an HRA interview
- Track the case until HRA issues a decision and remind you about recertification
- Reply to your messages and handle the fee for that case cycle
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing lists. We do not share it with other businesses for their advertising.
Who else may see it
- HRA / ACCESS HRA — the application and supporting documents are submitted to the City so HRA can decide the case. Once submitted, HRA’s rules apply to that file.
- WhatsApp / Meta — if you message us on WhatsApp, Meta processes that chat under WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy. We cannot control Meta’s systems.
- The law — we may disclose information if we are legally required to (for example, a valid court order).
How long we keep it
We keep contact details and copies of documents for as long as we are actively working your case, and then for a limited time afterward so we can answer questions about that cycle, send a recertification reminder, or show that work was done if there is a billing question. As a default, we aim to keep case files no longer than 24 months after HRA’s decision on that cycle, then delete or irreversibly de-identify them, unless we still need a record for a legal or accounting reason.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See below.
How we store it
This is a small service. Files typically live in the WhatsApp chat and in a private case record used to track your application. We do not publish client names or documents on this website. We take reasonable care (device lock, limited access) but no method of sending photos over consumer messaging is perfectly secure. Do not send more than the application requires.
Your choices
You may:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Ask us to correct something that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your documents and contact details (we will keep the minimum we must keep for tax or legal reasons, if any)
- Stop using the service and apply on your own through ACCESS HRA at no charge
To make a request, message us on WhatsApp or email tzvischmalberg@gmail.com. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, usually within 10 business days.
Children
We help adults apply for household benefits. We do not knowingly market to children. A SNAP application may include information about children in the household because HRA requires it; we treat that information with the same limits described above.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the service after that date means the new policy applies to information we collect from then on.
